Jim Alexander’s human rights photography is led by the words of Franz Fanon that Alexander holds dear: “Each generation out of relative obscurity, must discover their mission, fulfill it, or betray it.”

 

Through this part of his collection that yielded such publications as his 2020 book, “SOS: Signs of Struggle,” Alexander has traced the throughline of protest and possibility.
